Currently in the works, is a super shake – named Svasth, a Sanskrit word meaning “good health.”

The products in Svasth are organic, and combined together are healthy, nutritious, and tasty. An added benefit is that some of the ingredients have been used for centuries in India’s science of medicine to heal. Some of the ingredients have already been proven in literature-based research to have anti-cancer effects.

Svasth is a Super Shake with ingredients that are natural and organic, and have good nutritional value for cancer patients as they struggle with caloric intake. It’s easy to fill a drink with a lot of calories, but it’s time to give cancer patients healthy calories with ingredients that may have anti-cancer effects – something that tastes good and is easy to drink. And the taste? It’s similar to a delicious organic smoothie one might get at a coffee shop, yet it’s a little less thick, but thicker than a typical juice.

  • Ginger extract is one of the most used spices and condiments for foods and beverages. It is also used in traditional medicine for some human conditions. Recent studies show that characteristics of ginger extract may fight against certain types of cancer. Clinical studies show that the composition of ginger has an anti-tumor action.

  • This herb has been used in traditional Indian medicine for 3,000 years. It is believed to strengthen the body against physical or biological stress. Oftentimes, cancer patients experience stress related to the diagnosis, treatment and symptoms associated with cancer. Ashwagandha has become popular in recent years to address this issue.

  • This green leafy plant is native to southeast Asia. It has a history within Indian medicine as a treatment for many conditions. From the leaves to the seed, holy basil is considered a tonic for the body, mind and spirit. Many studies support the use of the entire plant of holy basil for human use and its therapeutic value. The nutritional value is also high.  

  • The spice known as turmeric may be the most effective nutritional supplement in existence. Many high quality studies show that turmeric has major benefits for both body and brain. Many of these benefits come from its main active ingredient, curcumin.

    Turmeric contains bioactive compounds with medicinal properties. Scientists believe that chronic low-level inflammation can play a role in some health conditions and diseases, including cancer. There are different forms of cancer that appear to be affected by curcumin supplements. It has been studied as a beneficial herb in cancer treatment and may contribute to the death of cancerous cells and reduce the spread of cancer.

 

Currently such a supplement of this kind is not available; Svasth is currently in the early stages of production and distribution. What is available on the market are high caloric intake drinks and shakes but they don’t necessarily contain healthy ingredients, and are not very palatable. Time is long overdue to bring Svasth to the market – and to all the lives that have been impacted by cancer.

Anil Potti, MD
Medical Oncologist

Dr. Anil Potti graduated with a bachelor of medicine and surgery degree from the Christian Medical College and Hospital in Vellore, India.

He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of North Dakota’s School of Medicine in Fargo, ND where he also served as a chief resident. After spending more than seven years in the Red River Valley region, he pursued hematology/oncology training at Duke University, where he was also a faculty member for four years.

Ali Lindsay

Ali received a bachelor’s degree in community nutrition from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. With the new Svasth super shake product, Ali’s role is vital in working with the various components of the shake and guiding cancer patients on its nutritional benefits.

Aarya Noel Potti
Product Developer

As co-founder of the Good Karma Company, Aarya Noel combined her experience in working at a nutrition store with the need to help cancer patients receive better nutrition. Her efforts of combining the Ayurvedic ingredients with fresh fruits and honey, in different fractions and proportions, with other natural ingredients proved to be a nutritional smoothie and a delicious super shake. She has developed various ranges of doses and concentrations of the product and continues to work as a team member with the company’s nutritional consultant and cancer specialists - to ensure that the product remains flavorful and high in nutritional value.
